Chickadee Apparel is a woman-owned and operated business that started in Moncton, New Brunswick, with a goal to spread our message far and wide. Our founder, a lover of all things wild and cozy, didn’t see herself or her values in the local apparel brands - and wanted to change the status quo by encouraging positivity and inclusivity in hiking, camping, and other outdoor communities.
At Chickadee, we believe the outdoors is for everyone - and that less is more. We want to waste less, love our belongings more, and do our part to ensure people at every intersection of identity feel safe, seen, and welcome in their communities and the natural spaces around them.
The chickadee is a small reminder of our roots here in New Brunswick; a friendly, resilient, and resourceful bird that resides in our home province throughout every season, singing sweetly no matter their environment.

We try to source 100% cotton or recycled materials whenever possible. Our blanks are 100% cotton and made in Mexico. We hope to grow into sourcing blanks that are made in Canada.
Our embroidery and screen-printing processes are all proudly done in Canada. All designs are developed in-house or with local artists.
We package our orders with recycled or unbleached paper and compostable mailers. We continue looking for better alternatives to traditional clothing packaging - and reuse the waste our processes create.

Love your Chickadee Apparel and give it the adventurous and long life all textiles deserve. Our 100% cotton products are pre-shrunk, but if you want to be extra careful - save the electricity and opt for wind power instead of a hot dryer!
Wash with like-colours with your detergent of choice, and avoid bleach!
